I recently got the opportunity to celebrate this adorable little lady’s belated first birthday!  She was full of energy and I was just captivated by her beautiful eyes….such a stunning blue!

Time for her to dig into her birthday cake!

Loved this expression and definately did not expect it after she sampled the frosting……

I photographed this handsome tot in the earlier part of the season and he was very excited donning his “Fly Swatters” uniform and big boy bat.

I loved that his bag was practically bigger than him!

I’m Back…

August 10, 2010

I know that my blog has been quiet these past few weeks and with a bustling summer (I wouldn’t have it any other way!!) and getting ready for the autumn rush and my annual holiday sessions, I’ll  have lots to post over this next week.  I look forward in sharing with you all of the fun adventures I’ve been up to!

And, on another note, August is nearly sold out and I have started booking my autumn sessions for September and October, so don’t be left out once the colorful weather arrives.

Families don’t get any cuter than this one and we had such a fun morning playing on the beach in Gloucester.  This brother and sister were full of playfulness and giggles….my favorite combination!

If I already didn’t have baby fever, I have it now!  Noah was such a delicate little thing and I was so excited to capture him last week in his very first few days of life.  Those chubby little cheeks just made me weak in the knees!!

Lori Beverage: Heather, absolutely gorgeous! Where were you when my guys were little. Oh right, I know that ;). You gave Noah's Mom something to cherish! Keep up the excellent work!

I had the privilege to photograph a beautiful young woman’s Quinceañera recently, which is a coming of age celebration for a fifteen year-old in the Latin American culture.  I had photographed Thalia’s older sister’s Quince a couple of years ago and was just as excited for Thalia’s celebration into womanhood.  The event is as grand as a wedding celebration filled with beautiful flowers, a moving mass held in a church and a festive reception in which fifteen candles were lit by loved ones.  What a wonderful tradition and I was honored to be part of this momentous occasion!

I met Chey for the first time last year and was immediately struck at this delightful little lady’s sweet personality, so you can imagine that I was thrilled when I got the call to photograph this blonde beauty for her two-year-old portrait.  Hmmm, I think that we may have a model in the making!!

Michelle Jamieson: Love your blog Heather! These photos and the little sweetie are beautiful! Michelle / Michelle Jamieson Interiors

suzie: These are just adorable!!

I recently had the opportunity to second shoot a gorgeous wedding with the amazingly talented Anne of Anne Lord Photography on a beautiful summer-like day.  Anne is an accomplished wedding photographer based out of Reston, Virginia and she and I had recently met at a professional photographers workshop.  I was both excited and honored to work with her in capturing her beautiful couple.

This was image was photographed over Anne’s shoulder as she was photographing the couple.

Spring has officially graced us with it’s mild temperatures, longer days and the fragrant air and I was thrilled when this mother of two phoned me to capture her family just prior to Mother’s Day.  The beautiful balmy morning lent for some great lighting and unseasonally warm temperatures.  From bubbles to the local beach, we all had a blast!

I encouraged the little sister to give her big brother a kiss and captured this image……

and his reaction was just PRICELESS…

I absolutely love Mexican food and living on the east coast, I often felt deprived with the lack of local Mexican restaurants in the area.  As you can imagine,  I was delighted when Casa Blanca opened up in a nearby town about four years ago and have been eating there several times a month ever since.  Recently, Casa Blanca’s owner Daniel approached me to photograph a variety of their signature dishes because they were creating new menus and opening up their second location.  I was thrilled at the opportunity and kept getting hungry as I edited through the photos.  I highly recommend taking a trip to visit them in either North Andover or Andover…you will not be disappointed!

With today being Cinco De Mayo, I am sure that many of you are searching for that zesty Mexican dish and I just recently learned the history behind the day.  On May 5, 1862 the Mexican army defeated the French forces thus, making today a celebration of Mexican culture and pride.  Now won’t your friends be impressed when you share that with them while sipping on margaritas??
